(Spencer)– Today (Tues.) is Giving Tuesday and the Clay County Fair Charitable Trust is hoping donors will keep them in mind.
Established in 1993, the trust is intended to help ensure the fair continues to thrive for generations to come. A number of initiatives have been established that people can donate to, including a strategic 10-year plan to plant trees at various locations on the fairgrounds; solar-powered lights on bollards at centennial plaza that would include a personalized plaque for a $2,000 donation; a personalized aluminum quilt block on the south wall of the Creative Living Center with a $250 donation that includes a custom inscription; a livestock pen replacement program that includes a donor plaque in the Livestock Pavilion with a $600 donation; and a program including a $2,000 donation for a picnic table and $1,000 for a bench with a personalized commemorative plaque.
Contributions can be made at claycountyfair.com or by sending a check to the Clay County Fair Charitable Trust at P.O. Box 527, Spencer, Iowa…51301.
