(Spencer)– This Saturday you can shop for a purpose at the inaugural “A very Merry Market – Season of Giving Holiday Extravaganza.” Seasons Center Behavioral Health in Spencer is hosting the event and Stephanie Pohar, Vice President of Marketing and Fund Development, talks about the event…
“We’re super excited. This is our inaugural year, so it’s a little scary because we don’t have much to go off of, but we’re really excited. We have over sixty five vendors who are going to be part of the vendor fair, so it’ll be a great opportunity for people to start some holiday shopping. Santa is going to be there. We are going to do free photos with Santa, so every family will walk away with a photo when they leave. We’re doing a bake sale. We’re going to have some crafts, some kids crafts and activities available. We’re going to have a gift wrapping station that people can have gifts wrapped, whether they purchase them at the vendor fair, or whether they did some Black Friday shopping and just want to come in and have us wrap them instead so they don’t have to, um, we’re going to have that available. We’re going to have free carriage rides throughout the fairgrounds, courtesy of the Pony Express.”
Pohar says all the funds they raise on Saturday will stay local to help support mental health resources…
“One hundred percent of it will stay local. We do have ten offices throughout Northwest Iowa. Spencer is our main office but we do have offices like in Sheldon and Spirit Lake and Emmetsburg. So we do have other offices in the area but they’re all within Northwest Iowa.“
Admission is free and the event will be held at the Clay County Events Center in Spencer from 9:00 am to 3:00 on Saturday December 6th. You can get more information at seasonscenter.org or their Facebook page.
