(Milford)– The City of Milford reminds residents of the parking rules that go into effect during snow events.
City officials say a “snow day” occurs whenever snowfall or ice buildup requires the city to plow or sand the streets. During these times—and for 48 hours after the snow or ice has stopped—vehicles may not be parked, abandoned, or left unattended on any public street, alley, or City-owned parking area. They add the rules help city crews safely and efficiently clear the roads.
The Milford Police Department will enforce these parking restrictions. Vehicles that are not moved may be ticketed and towed. The fine for violating the snow-day parking rules is $50. Towing and storage fees are separate and must be paid directly to the towing company. Proof that the citation has been paid is required before the vehicle will be released.
