(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair and Events Center took home some honors from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions Virtual Awards Show held November 20th.
They were recognized for Commercial Exhibits and Concessions, receiving the distinction of being the Best of the division the Clay County Fair competes in. They were also honored for Commercial Exhibits and Concessions Awards, Category Four, for vendor recognition with the World’s Greatest County Fair Foods Contest, placing 1st in that category.
The Clay County Fair and Events Center was also recognized for non-fair usage, Category 1A, for non-fair use of facilities for the 2025 Bulls & Brews, receiving 3rd place. Fair officials say the recognition is especially notable as 2025 was the inaugural year of the Commercial Exhibits and Concessions contest, making the Clay County Fair one of the first-ever Best of Division recipients in the new category.
The Clay County Fair and Event Center returned to the International Association of Fairs and Expositions competition for the first time this year after not participating the past several years. The Clay County Fair competes in Division 3, representing fairs with attendance between 250,001 and 500,000.
