(Spirit Lake)– An issue that knocked out 911 land line service in a number of northwest Iowa counties, including Dickinson, has now been repaired. The issue surfaced Thursday afternoon after a fiber optics cable was accidentally cut.
A post on the Dickinson County Emergency Management Facebook page this (Fri.) morning says the necessary repairs have been made and that land line 911 service is now restored.
The outage did not affect those with cell phones.
The outage affected not only Dickinson, but a number of other counties in northwest Iowa as well.
