(Undated)– Voters across Iowa are headed to the polls today (Tues.) to decide on candidates that will serve on city councils and school boards. In Dickinson county, city elections seem to be drawing the most attention, with contested races for council seats in a number of communities. There are also several instances where write-in campaigns are underway.
In Clay county, voters are deciding whether to make emergency services an essential service that would be funded through property taxes.
Voters in some northwest Iowa school districts today (Tues.) are also deciding the fates of bond issues and levy proposals.
Polls are open until 8:00 pm this (Tues.) evening. If you are uncertain as to where your voting site is located, you can find that out by going to the Secretary of State’s website and typing in your address.
