“So right now we’ve got 49 units. We have eight townhomes that are open and 41 apartments. 33 of those are two-bedrooms and the other nine are one bedrooms.”
Lori Bonin of Rebound Partners, who also played a key role in the project, says it represents a strong public/private partnership…
“Part of our model is our investment group is majority locally owned, so this property is majority locally owned, so I think that’s exciting. I think it’s wonderful to think about people being able to invest in their back yard. They can drive by here knowing hey, I own a little piece of that, and making an impact for housing in Jackson. And that’s really where it started, too, is the need for housing in this community and so this is just the start of this development here at Belmont Heights.”
Planning for the first phase got underway about three years ago.
