Jackson’s City Administrator Quits

October 17, 2025

(Jackson, Mn.)– The city of Jackson is once again looking for a new City Administrator. Jim Langborg abruptly resigned from the position this week, effective immediately. Langborg was hired to the position in March of this year.

Mayor Marcus Polz released a statement Friday thanking Langborg for his service and dedication to the community and wished him the best with his future endeavors.

Polz says city department heads will work directly through him to ensure city operations continue smoothly and ongoing projects remain on track. He also said, “Our focus remains on stability, teamwork, and transparency as we serve the people of Jackson with professionalism and respect.”
