(Estherville)– A charging station is said to be the source of a fire that damaged a home in Estherville Monday.
Firefighters were called a little before 3:00 pm to the 700 block of 14th Avenue North where a fire had started in the porch. A resident used a garden hose and a fire officer and a sheriff’s deputy used fire extinguishers to keep the fire under control until the fire department arrived.
Damage was said to be minor, with some smoke damage throughout the house.
Firefighters were on the scene about an hour. No injuries were reported.
