(Sioux City)– Sioux City’s KTIV and other NBC affiliate stations may be dropped from YouTube TV Wednesday, October 1st.
Google, which owns the streaming service, is in an ongoing dispute with NBC. Google accuses NBC of demanding higher payments to broadcast its shows and affiliate channels, which will reportedly create higher subscriber costs. NBC has countered that Google isn’t offering fair rates and seeks market dominance.
The dispute has now threatened over 200 NBC affiliates, including KTIV, and could lead to YouTube TV blackouts starting on October 1st if a deal isn’t reached.
