(Sibley)– A broken water main has resulted in the issuance of a boil advisory for some Sibley residents.
City officials say the precautionary measure stems from repairs that were made earlier today (Monday) to a broken water main in the area of 7th Avenue and 7th Street in Sibley. The boil advisory is for residents who live in that area (see map). Officials say there’s a potential the distribution system in the area of the break may have been contaminated while there was little to no pressure in that part of the system.
City officials say they expect the advisory will be lifted by the end of the week.
