(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors this (Tues.) morning awarded a bid for the Lower Gar Bridge. The project was awarded to Graves Construction of Spencer which submitted the low bid of $1,340,092. It was under the engineer’s estimate of $1,611,509.
Terms call for the existing culverts to be removed as soon as possible with September 15th being a late start date for that part of the project. Construction of the bridge itself is to get underway no later than April 1st, 2026. The road will be closed to traffic just prior to work getting underway to remove the culverts.
A total of five bids were submitted for the project.
