(Spencer)– A community fireworks display is returning to Spencer this year. The July 4th show will begin at 10:00 pm at the Clay County Fairgrounds. Organizers say those who park on the grounds will be able to see the show from their vehicle.
The event is free, thanks to sponsors from the 2024 show who rolled their support to this year after that show wound up being canceled because of the flood.
Mike Carlson of the Spencer Fireworks Committee says they’re thrilled to bring the community display back this year, after everything the city went through in 2024.
