Everly Man Accused Of Not Delivering Services After Receiving Payment

June 05, 2025 Steve Schwaller

(Sibley)– An Everly man is accused of taking money for a job that wasn’t completed.

Joshua Griffin received nearly 34 thousand dollars in January 2024 to install garage doors for a Hartley business. The victim claims Griffin told him the full amount was needed before work could start, but the man never installed the doors even after the check was cashed.

Months of investigating led to authorities arresting Griffin last week. He now faces a felony charge of first-degree theft.
