(Okoboji)– The ribbon cutting and grand opening of Sherwood Forest Park in Okoboji that was scheduled for June 12th has been pushed back. It’s now scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, July 17th.
A press release from the Dickinson County Conservation Board, which is developing the new park, says unexpected delays and final installations have forced them to re-schedule the opening. There also have been some issues with trespassers getting onto the property causing damage to freshly poured cement and trails. They’re continuing to ask people to stay out of the park until everything is completed.
