(Milford) The Lakeside Lab Speaker Series will present the Wild Prairie Winds Quintet on Tuesday night. Katey Jahnke, the Executive Director of Wild Prairie Winds says they are looking forward to their 4th performance at Lakeside Lab…
“You know the reason we keep coming back is cause we enjoy the community so much and we’ve even started branching out and performing at other parts of the Lake Okoboji region when we’re there so we definitely enjoy collaborating with this community.”
Jahnke is the only original founding member of the quintet and talks about their history…
“So the quintet actually was a graduate ensemble at the University of Iowa and so the original group consisted of completely different people other than myself. We became a non-profit in 2020 and we have since then we still have a couple rotation of members. Our mission is to promote chamber music performance and education in small communities.”
The performance starts at 7:00 on Tuesday night at Mahan Hall on the Lakeside Lab campus. This is part of the Lakeside Lab Speaker series and is free and open to the public. Tune in on Monday at 3:45 to hear the full interview with Jahnke on the Lakeside Science Minute which is thanks to the Friends of Lakeside Lab.
