(Undated)– A wind advisory remains in effect for the region until 7:00 pm this (Fri.) evening. The National Weather Service says gusts as high as 55 mph will be possible. Numerous gusts in excess of 40 mph have occurred so far today (Fri.), including a 45 mph gust at 8:49 this (Fri.) morning at the KUOO studios.
Officials caution that wind of this magnitude could cause damage to trees and power lines, and that if you come across a downed line, to stay away from it and contact the proper authorities.
