(Okoboji)– A new county park that’s under construction at the site of the former Inn Golf Course in Okoboji is scheduled to open in June, but officials say ongoing issues of people trespassing and causing damage may push that back. Steve Clark represents the Board of Supervisors on the Dickinson County Conservation Board. He points to one incident in particular in which some fresh cement was driven through…

“You know that’s a $33,000 repair before the project can be opened. Do all you can to encourage people to stay away from the Sherwood Forest Park until it’s completed. As of now the 75 acre park is scheduled for completion June 12th.

Sherwood Forest Park is being constructed under the auspices of the Dickinson County Conservation Board and was made possible through various financial gifts and grants.
