(Spencer)– No injuries were reported in a house fire Monday in Spencer.
Firefighters were called shortly before 4:00 pm to 813 11th Avenue West and found smoke coming all four sides of the soffit, peak of the roof and windows on the second floor. A press release from Spencer Fire Rescue says an initial attack line was made through the front door, followed by a more coordinated attack that resulted in the fire being extinguished. The residence was then overhauled and turned over to the homeowner.
Firefighters were on the scene about two and-a-half hours.
No word on a possible cause.
