(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Fire Department responded to several grassfires in recent days including two Friday afternoon in the Francis Sites area and another late Saturday morning at Marble Beach State Park. All of the fires were quickly extinguished and there were no reports of injuries.
Fire officials again urge anyone doing any open burning to use extreme caution. Any controlled burns need to be reported to local authorities before being lit.
