West O Beer & HSNWIA Team Up For Fundraiser

(Milford)– The Humane Society of NW Iowa and West O Beer have teamed up for a fundraiser where people can form teams of four to do a puzzle race. Melanie Becker, who is the treasurer of the Human Society Board of Directors, says what they hope to accomplish with this fundraiser…

“So with this fundraiser we hope to accomplish filling all three sessions with twelve teams in each session and then raising money to fund the shelter with that and bring an awareness to the needs in our communities.” 

What is a puzzle race you may ask? Becker explains…

“Each session has a puzzle, each session has a different puzzle I should say and then they put 500 pieces together in the puzzle, they eat the 12 wings, and they drink the 12 beers, pop, wine in that session and they race against the other 11 teams in their session and whoever is the winner gets a cash prize.”

The puzzle race will take place on Saturday April 12th at West O Beer. The day will feature 3 puzzle races with 12 teams of four in each race. The 1:00 pm race is family friendly with non-alcoholic beverages being offered for those who are underage. You can go to westobeer.com to sign up your team.
