(Milford)– A Milford man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident early Sunday.
Milford police say they responded to the 1200 block of L Avenue in Milford around 12:01 am and encountered a man who was intoxicated and yelling loudly. The man, identified as 34-year-old Paul Davis of Milford, was arrested following a short struggle with officers. Upon further investigation police discovered Davis had allegedly been vandalizing city property prior to their arrival.
Davis was booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of public intoxication, interference with officer acts causing bodily injury, criminal mischief in the 5th degree, harassment of a public official, disorderly conduct, threat of terrorism and assault on a police officer.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park, Okoboji and Spirit Lake Police Departments assisted on the scene.
Milford Police Chief Shilo Brevik says the incident remains under investigation.
