Charges Filed Against Suspect In Southern Minnesota Shooting

(Fairmont, Mn.)– A suspect wanted in a shooting February 27th in Truman, Minnesota February 27th is in custody on multiple charges. Kyle Liford is being held in the Martin county jail on charges of attempted murder…2nd degree…with intent to but not premeditated; assault in the 2nd degree along with several charges related to dangerous weapons and failure to render aid to a victim of a shooting.

A criminal complaint allages Liford shot the female victim during a domestic dispute. A witness identified Liford as the alleged shooter. He fled the scene before authorities arrived. A Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to talk to the victim before she was transported to a hospital. She also identified Liford as the shooter.

Liford was taken into custody this past Sunday.
