(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Foundation’s Youth In Philanthropy program is closing in on its fundraising goal but could still use some help from the public. The initiative has raised about 80 percent of its $75,000 goal for this year.
Foundation officials say every dollar donated by April 1st will be matched thanks to a $10,000 challenge grant, doubling the impact of each contribution.
Youth In Philanthropy teaches area high school students the importance of giving back to the community. This is the 15th year for the program. More information can be found at okobojifoundation.org/yip or by calling 332-7177.
