(Sioux Center)– A man found Saturday in a ditch in Sioux county without pants or underwear was pronounced dead a short time later. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and other people along with a drone were assisting in the search when the man’s body was found in a ditch on Harrison Avenue about four miles south of Sioux Center.
Authorities say earlier that morning, around 2:45 am, a person matching the description of the male was reportedly kicking a door at a residence trying to get inside. The man did not live there. The caller reported the man wasn’t wearing pants or underwear. The man found in the ditch is believed to be that same person. He was taken by ambulance to the Sioux Center hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities say foul play is not expected. The man’s name was being withheld pending notification of family.
