(Washington, D.C.)– It was announced Thursday the Spencer Community School District will be receiving $1.7 million in federal assistance. The funds will be used for repairs at Lincoln and Johnson Elementary. Both buildings were heavily damaged in the flooding this past June.
Congressman Randy Feenstra announced the funding in a press release, saying the funds will help get students back in the classroom sooner.
