(Milford)– Organizers say this year’s “Battle of the Chili Pots” was another success. The Milford, Arnolds Park-Okoboji, Spirit Lake, and Fostoria Fire Departments along with the Terril First Responders competed in Saturday’s event at the Milford Fire Station. 116 people turned out to enjoy the chili while also serving as judges in the contest.
The winner of the “mild” division was the Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department; the Spirit Lake Fire Department won the “spicy” division.
Proceeds were divided between the participating entities.
The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department will host next year’s event.
