Car Vs Deer Collision Injures Heron Lake Woman

(Heron Lake, Mn.)– A Heron Lake woman was injured when a vehicle she was driving collided with a deer Friday evening.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 56-year-old Lori Burdick was driving a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek westbound on Highway 60 in Wilder when she collided with the animal. Burdick was taken to the Windom hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The Windom ambulance, the Jackson and Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Offices and the Windom Fire Department assisted on the scene.

The mishap took place around 5:30 pm.
