(Spencer)– Two teens face charges in connection with a traffic stop Monday in the 2600 mile of Highway 18 in Clay county. Authorities say a deputy conducted the stop for a traffic violation and saw tobacco in the vehicle and knew the occupants were underage. A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana and nicotine products.
The two occupants, a 16-year-old from Dickens and a 14-year-old from Emmetsburg, were cited into magistrate court for minor possessing tobacco. They were also cited in juvenile court for possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, and were released to the custody of a parent.
