Randy Paas Appointed To Fill Vacant Seat On Arnolds Park City Council

December 12, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday evening voted unanimously to appoint Randy Paas to fill a position left vacant with the recent passing of longtime councilman Jim Jensen. Paas, who’s a dentist, currently serves on the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Jim Hussong says they feel Paas will be a good fit on the council…

“He’s very community minded, he’s on the P & Z Board now and then he would be moving over to the council. If people feel there was a better person to come in they have 14 days to say so and talk to Linda otherwise I think everybody on the board unanimously thought that he would be a great addition to the council and so we’ve appointed Randy and then in January is our next meeting when we would finalize his appointment.”

There are three years left in the term.

No written or oral comments were made during a public hearing on the matter at Wednesday evening’s meeting.
