(Spirit Lake)– Two Dickinson county fire departments are merging, pending formal agreements being approved by cities and townships they serve. The Spirit Lake City Council Tuesday evening adopted a resolution in favor of the merger involving the Superior and Spirit Lake Fire Departments. This isn’t the first time two fire departments in Dickinson county have merged. The Arnolds Park and Okoboji Fire Departments combined manpower and resources a number of years ago.
