(Milford)– We’re learning some additional details into last week’s arrest of a Milford man on multiple weapons charges.
Milford Police Chief Shilo Brevik says his department was notified on Tuesday of last week by the Iowa Department of Corrections regarding a felon in possession of firearms residing in Milford. Brevik says that information resulted in police obtaining and executing a search warrant around 9:00 am the following morning, Wednesday, December 4th where they found several firearms.
As we reported previously, 58-year-old Daniel Gibson was arrested on six counts of felon in possession of firearms. He remains in the Dickinson County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Arnolds Park, Okoboji and Spirit Lake Police Departments, assisted Milford police in the search.
