(Spirit Lake)– An issue with a water main is resulting in a temporary disruption in water service in the Center Lake area.
Officials with the city of Spirit Lake say service on Center Lake Drive from 30th Street to the south end of Center Lake Drive has been shut off and will remain off until about 5:30 pm today (Tues.) while repairs are being made.
City officials say work has been ongoing to install new valves and they were hoping to be able to do that without a disruption in service, but they say they have since discovered the temporary interruption IS needed in order to complete the work, resulting in the short notice to residents.
