(Spencer)– U.S. Senator Joni Ernst has announced her Small Business of the Week for this week is coming from northwest Iowa. Ernst, a ranking member of the Small Business Committee, has announced Vander Haag’s, Incorporated of Spencer as this week’s recipient.
The business was founded in 1939 and started as a scrap metal operation. John M. Vander Haag, grandson of founder John C. Vander Haag, serves as president of the company.
Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
