(Spencer)– The Spencer City Council Monday evening approved the first reading of a proposed revision to city code spelling out qualifications for the City Manager position. The council is considering the change as the city continues its search for someone to fill the position. While the council adopted the first reading, the language is likely to change further in subsequent readings. The city’s search for a new City Manager has been ongoing over the past couple of months. Kevin Robinson, a former Mayor of Spencer, has been serving in that capacity on an interim basis.
