Federal Agency: Iowans Will Pay More For Natural Gas This Winter

(Washington, DC)– Heating bills are likely to go up this winter for people living in the Midwest, including Iowa and Illinois.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports the average monthly natural gas bill in Iowa will be five-dollars-and 84-cents more than last year. In Illinois the increase will be ten-dollars-and-31-cents more each month.

Natural gas prices are expected to be lower in the West, South, and Southeastern U.S.
