(Lakefield, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Wednesday on Highway 86 south of Lakefield sent one person to the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 20-year-old Ashlyn Kirchner of Iona, Minnesota was driving a 2009 Chevrolet northbound on Highway 86 and was attempting to turn westbound onto 780th Street, and 20-year-old Victor Villarreal of San Bernardino, California was driving 2019 Nissan Sentra southbound on Highway 86 when the two collided.
A passenger in one of the vehicles, 23-year-old Janae Vargas of Spencer, was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with non-life threatening injuries.
The collision took place shortly before 4:00 pm.
The Lakefield Police Department and ambulance and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
