Jackson County Now Eligible For Individual Assistance Through FEMA

July 30, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Jackson, Mn.)– Jackson county is now eligible for individual disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA. Applications can be submitted at disasterassistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362.

Officials say a Disaster Recovery Center will be located in Jackson, but a site has not yet been established. City officials say they’re working with FEMA on that matter. A center is already open in Windom. Residents of Heron Lake and Wilder can seek assistance at that location.
