(Spencer)– It was announced today (Fri.) the Spencer Aquatic Center will NOT be opening at all this season.
In a statement, city officials say that while filling the pool, floodwater that was in the pipes contaminated the pool again. They say that cleaning and decontaminating the system would take until at least mid-August.
The statement goes on to say that the safety of users is of the utmost importance, and that they want the pool to be clean and safe for use next year.
