(Undated)– A study finds there are a couple of food labels that really get Iowa shoppers’ attention. Zach Bader is with the Iowa Farm Bureau which conducted the survey…
“Locally grown or GMO free or just any number of labels you might find on food that are related to food production. The top two have to do with raised locally or raised by Iowa family farmers.”
Bader says the survey finds most are keeping Iowa-raised meat, poultry, and dairy on the list…
“They’re sticking with those products despite, you know, they do have a concern for price obviously and that’s ringing through, but even some of those products that maybe we see tied to that association of higher prices, they do still feel good about those products.”
The Farm Bureau’s Food and Farm Index also finds 81-percent of shoppers are concerned about government regulations increasing food costs.
