(Milford)– The Okoboji Community School District continues to gather signatures for a petition to put a $69 million measure on the ballot for a new elementary school and for some remodeling and additions at the high school. Petitions can be signed at Blink Marketing, the Arnolds Park Public Library, ReMax and SAPS of OAKaboji.
Abrahamson adds the bond issue is intended to be “tax neutral”, adding the increase in the district’s valuations will offset any impact to taxpayers.
When it comes to a location for a new elementary school, Abrahamson says the district is purchasing 30 acres of land near the intersection of County Road A-34 and 213th Avenue…
Abrahamson also gave an update on the construction of a new transportation facility that has been plagued over the years with numerous delays. He says they’re confident those issues have been resolved.
