(Okoboji)-The Speaker Series at Iowa Lakeside Laboratory continues on Tuesday evening. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Friends of Lakeside Lab’s Speaker Series will continue on Tuesday evening with a talk by Diedre Rosenboom, Founder of Keep Okoboji Blue.
Rosenboom says she’ll discuss the history of the brand. “It was founded in 2005, so that’s already some years ago, and how the name was developed and how we got started with the sticker campaign, how that took off so we could reinvest into more merchandise, and then, developing the first Blue Water Concert that is now what it is because of The Okoboji Protective Association and Arnolds Park Amusement Park. Also, talking about the growth of Keep Okoboji Blue when Kyle Hamilton came on and how he really launched it into beach clean ups and underwater dive clean ups and merchandise.”
She adds that she’ll discuss their endowment and other projects.
The talk will start at 7 o’clock at Mahan Hall on The Iowa Lakeside Lab Campus and is free and open to the public.
