(Paullina)– A report of a person claiming to have shot another person and threatening acts of violence against other individuals and law enforcement resulted in a large presence of law enforcement earlier today (Thursday) near Paullina.
Authorities say the O’Brien County Communications Center received the call of the purported shooting a little before 10 am. Law enforcement responded to the 4500 block of Red Wood Ave., northeast of Paullina, near the airport. A perimeter was established around the location and a nearby campground was evacuated. Several businesses in Paullina also went into lock down. Residents reported getting calls a short time later from law enforcement saying the matter had been resolved.
No details have been released and there’s no word as to whether or not any arrests have been made.
