(Spencer)– Spencer firefighters were called a little after 2:00 pm this (Monday) afternoon to 1017 West 5th Street in Spencer after fire broke out in a 7″ X 7″ pile of flood debris. Firefighters deployed one attack line and quickly extinguished the fire. They then pulled the pile apart to make sure the fire was fully extinguished. They were on the scene about 20 minutes.
There were no reports any injury.
Residents are reminded to use caution when discarding items that could be hazardous or flammable.
