City Of Milford Cracking Down On Those Not Picking Up After Their Pets

(Milford)– If your dog does it’s business in Milford and you don’t pick it up, be prepared to get a citation. Mayor Steve Anderson says dog excrement in parks, playgrounds and ball fields is becoming a real problem…

“When the kids are out there playing it’s not something fun to step in when you’re trying to catch a ball. We’re just reminding everybody that there is leash requirements when you have your pets out and there’s also clean-up requirements and there are fines that go with that. We’re putting a public notice out to everybody, just reminding everybody, but the law enforcement have been told that there’s no more giving warnings. We’re just going to start writing tickets if they see issues out there.”

Anderson says they may be forced to take additional action should the problem continue.
