(Estherville)– Multiple injuries were reported Wednesday in a three-vehicle collision in the 3500 block of 170th Street in Emmet county.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to that location a little after 4:30 pm. They say 18-year-old Donte Pietsch of Estherville was driving a 2011 BMW eastbound when the vehicle crossed the centerline and sideswiped a 2010 Dodge Caravan driven by 20-year-old Conor Rezabek of Spencer. The BMW then slid into the path of a westbound 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 49-year-old Kari Batman of Milford. All three vehicles came to rest in the ditch.
All three drivers were treated on the scene and taken by ambulance to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville where they received further treatment and were released.
Pietsch was charged with driving with an expired driver’s license, operation without registration, driving in an improper lane or wrong direction, and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
All three vehicles were totaled.
The Estherville Police Department, Estherville Fire Department, Emmet County Emergency Management and Emmet County Public Health assisted on the scene.
