DNR: State Park Beaches, Docks & Ramps In Iowa Great Lakes Remain Underwater

June 27, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Wahpeton)– The Iowa DNR says several state park beaches, docks and ramps in the Iowa Great Lakes remain underwater.

The DNR says Gull Point State Park and Campground are closed. The agency says existing campground reservations at Emerson Bay, Elinor Bedell and Marble Beach are still being honored, but new reservations or walk-in camping at those locations are unavailable through at least July 7th.

The DNR says all other parks the agency operates in the Iowa Great Lakes remain open but extreme caution is advised.
