(West Okoboji)– Two highly popular beaches in the Iowa Great Lakes have been closed until further notice. The City of Arnolds Park has closed City Beach and the city of West Okoboji has closed Terrace Park Beach until further notice.
Officials with both cities say the closures are due to safety concerns over a lot of debris that’s in the water.
Those utilizing other beaches around the Iowa Great Lakes are being urged to use extreme caution and are being told to stay out of areas where a current could be present.
