(Undated)– The Iowa Department of Transportation is highly discouraging travel in a number of northwest Iowa counties, including Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien and Sioux counties.
The D.O.T. says that as of about 8:30 this (Sat.) morning, there were more than 20 specific locations on the primary highway system with road closures. They say that not all of the closures will allow for detours as the secondary roadways are also flooded.
