Humane Society Of NW Iowa Holding BINGO Fundraiser

June 10, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Milford)– A major fundraising event for the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa is coming up this week. Brock Holman serves on the organization’s Board of Directors. He says they’ll be holding a BINGO fundraiser this Wednesday evening at Oak Hill Outdoors in Milford with food and beverages available at 5:00 pm followed by BINGO at 6:00 pm…

“We’ll have 10 regular games and then two blackout games. The prizes for the blackout, one is $250 for groceries and then the other is $250 for kind of an eat around Okoboji, to various restaurants in the area.”

He says all of the proceeds go to the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa…

“So we appreciate everyone’s donations and support of this cause and the shelter. In addition we just recently installed all new dog kennels so that’s a great addition to the shelter. And then of course Okoboji High School students created a beautiful desk that now sits in our lobby so you can stop by and check that out. We’re always looking for volunteers and we love people to come visit the shelter and talk to Haley. She’s the shelter Director. And the outstanding staff will get you connected with a dog or a cat, have a chance to walk the dogs, and just enjoy that extra company from the furry friends.”
